Home Voice Opinions Support NY Patient Choice Bill About the Bills: AB 5183/ SB 3749

On March 13, 2007, the Workers’ Compensation Reform Bill was signed into law by Former Governor Elliot Spitzer.

This sweeping workers’ compensation act stripped injured workers of the right to choose a pharmacy. Assembly Bill 5183/Senate Bill 3749, if passed, would restore the right to choose.

What does this mean?

There are two issues at stake. You no longer have the right to choose your pharmacy or diagnostic medical testing provider.

SUPPORT AB 5183/SB 3749 TODAY!

Assemblywoman Simotas and Senator Roebach have introduced legislation in the 2011 session that would give back the right to bring your prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice and strip insurance companies of the power to tell you where your prescriptions can be filled.

This bill has passed the Senate twice before, but we need your help to get it through the Assembly.
